It is only a few weeks until the daffodils will start appearing and the spring rush will begin. In the meantime the post new year rush is firmly underway with many people actioning their new year’s resolutions to move. Let’s take a look at what’s been happening in the property market in Larbert, Bonnybridge & Denny during January 2023.

There are currently 178 properties available on the market in our area. In January 2023, there were 157. This increase of 13.4% in the amount of properties available is good news for buyers, as it means there is more choice. Last month, there were 154 properties available for sale: in November, there were 201; in October, there were 211; in September there were 187; and in August, there were 197.



In January, 70 new properties came to the market. There has been a steady flow of properties coming onto the market each month. In November, there were 84; in October, there were 90; in September, there were 82; and in August, there were 93. This is great news for buyers as the increased amount of choice means that it is easier for them to find properties that match their preferences, budget, and specific requirements. The early months of the year often see more new properties come to the market as well, with new year resolutions heralding job and relationship changes.

 

In January, 69 sales were agreed in our area; in December, there were 56: in November, 85 sales were agreed in our area; in October, there were 95; in September, there were 77; and in August, there were 102. The local market has remained buoyant and we expect it to get even busier as we progress through the year. 

In January, there were 15  price reductions across Larbert, Bonnybridge & Denny. In December, we saw 11; in November and in October, there were 23; in September, there were 20; and in August, there were 19. 



A slow mover is a property that has been on the market for 12 weeks or more. In January, there were 45 in the area; in December, there were 40; November had 45; in October, there were 44; in September, there were 37; and in August, there were 32.
